Inspiration: Heat Wave

It is hot in Winnipeg today! It is supposed to go up to +43 degrees Celsius with the humidex today!
What!?!?

I've been wishing I had something chic to wear that covers less.

I want this:

Cute no? We've had a really hot summer and I've been a little obssessed with playsuit seperates like this one.

So I headed over to Etsy and found this delightful shop: QsDaydream

Beautiful hand-sewn repro playsuits!

  1. Cute, but pricey. The skirt alone is 1,090 USD.

  2. Brianna - do you mean the first look from The Sartorialist? The second look is $110 USD for both pieces.

  3. Yep. The pieces from the first look are dolce and gabanna for spring 2012. The duo came up with many vegetable-printed fifties-style dresses and such.

  4. Brianna - Wow! I had no idea! It is beautiful though...but WAAAYYY out of my price range. lol!
But really, am I surprised? ...the girl is carring a Berkin bag...and it's New York.

    Thanks for the update Brianna!

  5. Q's pieces are so, so darling! I've been eyeing them for ages, but haven't yet added one to my wardrobe. Fingers crossed it happens for both of us one day.

Thank you very much for your lovely comment on my vintage outfit post yesterday, dear gal. I'm utterly thrilled to have found a new (to me) fellow Canadian vintage loving gal/blogger to connect with.

  6. Jessica - Q's pieces are amazing! One day I'll save a little cash and buy a playsuit. Mark my words! lol!

And yay for Canadian vintage bloggers! (I've figured out where you are since I posted my comment ;) )

  7. Before I would spend $110, I would look for a dress with the same basic lines-you've shown us a few of yours, Lisa, that have that!-and attempt to tailor a set. It wouldn't be that hard to turn a 1 piece into a 2 piece set. :)
