It's my birthday today! I turn 31.
Last year I spent an entire week celebrating turning 30. This year feels much more low key. I am neither elated nor am I bummed out by turning a year older. I don't want to say "It's just another day", because that's not how I feel at all...birthdays are special. This one just feels comfortable. I feel good in my skin. And that's a good feeling.
Here's to many more just like this one!

Birthdays are totally special, and I love that you feel that way about them, too. As the years roll on, I notice fewer and fewer of our peers seeing them as fun, carefree events in the way we did as youngsters, but I still aim for that (even if some years it doesn't happen), and also love celebrating all my friends and loved ones birthdays with gusto and cheer! There's something amazing and endlessly important about the day one was born.
