CMC Modeling: Da Da Da Dum

It's not too often I have time to take photos of my outfits when I model for the Costume Museum of Canada's Fashion Review. But this afternoon after the fashion show our new model (and my close friend Jen) was able to take photos of my newest outfit. Today was only the second time I've worn it. It's a replica of a 1911 wedding dress worn by a woman marrying a well to do political figure in Winnipeg. It's quickly becoming my new favourite!

The heritage house where we were doing the fashion show had very limited parking so we parked by a local supermarket and took the Winnipeg Trolley down the street! It was so fun! A highlight of the day for sure!

Here we are! This is my Gibson Girl hair for my first outfit (which is looking a little flat in this photo!).

Hope you all had a great weekend!

More Modeling

I did some more volunteer modeling for the Costume Museum of Canada today.

Here is one of my outfits. It's a Marie Antoinette style minuet dress. I just love it. The corset has to be done up so tightly I can barely breath in it! I do think I look absolutely silly in this photo though!

I also got to wear my favorite outfit. Seen here.

Old-Timey Modeling

I am a volunteer model for the Canadian Costume Museum of Canada. Last night I drove an hour outside of Winnipeg for a fashion show in Morris for the Manitoba Women's Institute Cenntenial Celebration.

We ended up being an hour behind schedule (there were some looong speeches last night!) and I got into bed at midnight (which is far far too late for little ol' me!), but I had a great time!!

Here's the proof:

A Very Happy Lisa Indeed!!

Isn't it awesome! Most of the costumes we wear for the fashion show are repros, but this is an original 1929 blue crepe dress! I could wear it every day!!!

I had two other outfits for the show, but when we're up and rolling there is no time for photos unfortunatly. I also wore a 1947 cream bengaline wedding dress with sweetheart neckline and veil and a 1975 light blue swiss dot full length dress. They were  also pretty awesome, but this blue crepe was my favorite.

I know I've been away, but I've got some exciting things to share with you this weekend! Stay Tuned!!
