Another Birthday for Matt

Holy Cow! I've really been slacking on the 'ole blog this week. I haven't even done anything productive to explain why...I've hit the lazy part of my holidays...hopefully to be followed shortly with the productive part, because right now I feel like a slug.

But the real reason of this post. My brother's birthday was last weekend and he had a bunch of people over to celebrate.

Last year we took a few goofy pictures of Matt, Will and myself and I thought it would be fun to continue the tradition (and somehow I've managed to wear almost the exact same thing! lol! What can I say? A white tee and jeans is classic. No brainer...)

We're like superheroes or something!

'cause this is thriller....

I just want you to know these are the tame photos...we may or may not have had a lot to drink that night...and we act like idiots when we're together...

possibly the most attractive face I've ever made.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT! LOVE YOU!

Belated Birthday Post

Ok, this is the last birthday post for this year (I swear!). I wanted to post this earlier this month, but my computer wasn't recognizing the memory card from my camera and I couldn't find the USB cable for the life of me.
Blah, blah, blah, enough excuses...

This was my last birthday celebration. With my family! All of my siblings and my new nephew went over to my Mom's for drinks, delicious food (my Mom is the best cook, no really...) and cake!

But first, how about some gratuitous shots of my adorable nephew Casey first!

That's a Johnny Cash Folsom Prison onesie he's wearing...yup! He's a cool kid.

Casey and Mom! (Or Kim as we like to call her)

Casey insisted that he take over the picture taking so I could enjoy my own party!

My Mom made these delicious focaccia bread things. One kind had tomatoes and basil and pesto and the other was potato and caramelized onions. Yum! And my brother brought Half Pints' new beer over for us to taste. It's not on the market yet...it was a Mexican dark lager they're calling "Noche De Los Alebrijes". I'm not sure how drunk people are going to order it. I can barely say that sober! lol! It was delicious! I can't wait for it to be in stores this fall (Half Pints is a local brewery that my brother works at).

We love Half Pints beer. And this Transformer does too! (maybe he was a Dinobot, I'm not sure)

This photo really encompasses the chaos that my family is!  Never a dull moment!

I really wish I had some more photos to share, but I was busy visiting and it's really hard to take photos that aren't blurry when there are 2 dogs and a 10 month old flying around the room! lol!

So instead, how about some pictures of cake! Yeah, cake! This is a vegan spice cake my Mom made. My brother Matt's girlfriend Katie has some severe milk and dairy allergies so we eat a lot of vegan food when she's around. We call it "Katie friendly". It was Lisa friendly too! This cake was delicious! lol!

Thanks for indulging my in one last birthday post. You won't have to put up with any more until next year!

Mom's Birthday Lunch

Yesterday my brothers, The Boy and I took my Mom out for lunch for birthday. We had plans to go to another restaurant, but it was closed on Mondays so at the last minute we decided to try out UNBURGER. None of us had ever been and let me tell you we will go back again!

It's not often we're all out together so much silliness usually ensues.

The restaurant is very hip and modern. And yes, the food is VERY tasty! lol!

You order from a counter when you walk into the restaurant and we got Woody here for our table marker. He didn't have his cowboy hat, so we gave him two coke bottle tops.

The Boy ordered some "Edamommy" for us to start with.

The sweet potato fries are so good! My Mom and I orderes "Shareables" which is regular and sweet potato fries with two side dips. We got chipotle and rosemary garlic aioli. The chipotle aioli was my favorite.

This is the Opah! burger. It was delicious as well...mmmm....I want to go back and have another one...

After dinner I asked The Boy to take some photos of us. We only managed to get one serious photo...

Happy Birthday Mom! Love you!
