My New Favorite Dress?

This is another dress I've hemmed recently. I loved this dress when I bought it, but have only worn it once since. I just felt overwhelmed by fabric. The hem was too long and the neckline felt too high. I either needed more cleavage or more leg. Hemming ws the easier of the two projects and once again, did not really comprimise the design of the dress.

I did cut this dress when I hemmed it, unlike the other two. The fabric was just too sheer to tack up 4 inches of hem.

As you can see I hemmed this one much shorter than the other two I did last week. It hits me right in the middle of my knee. It's given the dress a more early 60's/Mad Men feel (Can't you just see Betty in this dress?).

I for one am smitten. I can't wait to wear it again. It's just so lady-like.
